Association between the alignment of your spine and disc degeneration
September 13, 2016
Here is an interesting article reviewing the potential impact of between lumbar spine sagittal alignment and L4-L5 disc degeneration among asymptomatic young adults.
And the result is rather surprising : as opposed to popular belief, it appears that flat lower back shows a higher frequency of degenerated discs than long and curved lumbar spine.
It confirms the importance of assessing dynamic dysfunctions first, before trying to correct static / postural issues.
